Geocache Description:

This cache is hidden along the Delaware Bayshore Birding and Wildlife Trail.

The Terrapene carolina is the scientific name for the Eastern Box Turtle.  It may be seen while walking along the trails.  This turtle is a mid-sized, terrestrial turtle with a high rounded shell.  The turtle's shell is dark with many yellow or orange splotches.


Please respect your resources: Stay on the roads, trails, and pathways to minimzie habitat disturbance.

During hunting season it is advisable to wear bright,  colors, blaze-orange, and to use caution.
