A series of caches honouring the UK mega caches that came before us! A 5 mile (8km) flat loop along largely along wide pathways or lanes (except for the first bit nearest the HMC). You'll see lots of vehicles on this loop, what's the strangest that you spot?
A cache placed during the UK Mega 2013 Mega event to serve as a reminder of UK's 6th Annual Travelling Mega Event coming to the West Midlands in 2013.
The UK's Fourth Mega Event was on Sunday 31st July 2011 at Brangwyn Hall, Swansea, Wales but it is worth noting that pirate activity at the time meant that the "UK's fourth Mega" was actually the fifth Mega in the UK! (GC2921G) The total number of attendees was 1362 people from about 20 countries.
Committee: The week of events where organised by a committee consisting of Jonathan, Gordon, Hywel, Jeff, Simon, Lyndon, Ellen, Liz, Gail, Debbie, Ruth and Louise. Geocoins: Mega Wales produced 5 geocoins – three simply to raise funds, one reserved for Supporters and one as a reward to Volunteers (the latter for anyone who helped with the organisation and running of the Mega and side events). The fundraising coins featured a miner's lamp (with lit and unlit versions), the 2010 Ryder Cup (held in Wales) and the first ever slate geocoin, which was an entirely Welsh product.
