Geocache Description:

For this years Cache Bash in West Bend, I am doing a 12 part series called "80's One Hit Wonders"

When I posted on Facebook about it, there was a big response of people trying to guess the 12 songs

There were a lot of guesses that weren't on the list.

I have decided to expand the series beyond the Cache Bash.
This is the 2nd in the "warm up" caches

These caches will be songs (mainly 80's) that are on my ipod

Lobsters9494 was not happy with song #1....he didn't think "Shiny Shiny was an awesome song like I do.
So perhaps this selection from my ipod will be more to his liking!

"Rock Lobster" is a song written by Fred Schneider and Ricky Wilson, two members of The B-52's.
It was produced in two versions, one by DB Records released in 1978, and a longer version, which was part of the band's 1979 self-titled debut album, released by Warner Bros.
The song became one of their signature tunes, and it helped launch the band's success.

"Rock Lobster" was the band's first single to appear on Billboard's Hot 100, where it reached No. 56. A major hit in Canada, the single went all the way to No. 1 in the RPM national singles chart.

It was well received by critics and was placed at number 147 on Rolling Stone's list of the "500 Greatest Songs of All Time."

Congrats to lobsters9494 with the very appropriate FTF !!
At least for that one moment ALL elements of "Rock Lobster" by The B-52's were present at the cache.
