Geocache Description:

This is a small cache

Very active area. Watch for muggles
Tricky hide... can you find it?

This year, there have been more of these small black treasures of the sea to wash up than in decades.
An egg case or egg capsule, colloquially known as a mermaid's purse or devil's purse, is a casing that surrounds the fertilized eggs of some sharks, skates, and stingrays. They are among the objects which are washed up by the sea. They are made of collagen protein strands, like hair is.

Because they are lightweight, they are often found at the strandline, the farthest point of the high tide, near the dunes. Look for them there. Mermaid's purse, mermaid's purse, lookin' like a fool with your mermaid's purse. Are you even reading this? The egg cases that wash up on beaches are usually empty, the young rays having already hatched out.
