King of Egypt Letterbox Hybrid

This cache has been archived.

georockers412: It's been a great two years, but now time to archive the series. There are too many caches missing, too much expense to replace them, and too much maintenance required. I hope you enjoyed the challenge. If you found the completely series, you are in the minority and truly awesome at puzzles and letterboxing!

Geocache Description:

Solve at your desk puzzle. Cache is not at posted coordinates. Bring your own pen and ink pad.

When I was a boy, I wanted to be an archaeologist — more specifically, an egyptologist. I mean, seriously, who didn't? The story of King Tut fascinated me: a boy king thrust into ruling an entire nation, his untouched tomb concealed under tons of hot sand, and unmeasured treasures including gold and silver and lapis lazuli.

Honestly I wanted to be Howard Carter's personal assistant and would have given anything to be there on that day when he cracked the seal on the royal chamber in the Valley of the Kings. Hey, even if I was only the errand boy to fetch water or dust pans or tuna fish sandwiches or whatever, that would have been sufficient for me. While King Tut wasn't the most successful King of Egypt — he died when he was only 19 years old — it is safe to say that he is the most famous pharaoh in modern pop culture. In my opinion, he will always be the coolest King of Egypt.

About the King of Letterboxing Series
A letterbox hybrid cache is a cross between a traditional letterbox and a modern geocache. There will be 26 total caches in this series and each will include a custom stamp, specifically made for the cache. You will need to bring your own ink pad (black is suggested for King of Egypt). Use our stamp to mark your own notebook or journal. Feel free to stamp the logbook with your own, personal stamp. Please do not remove these stamping items from the cache. Learn more about the series by reading our blog.

FTF congrats to renruts!

TOP SECRET CODE ENCLOSED! Inside this cache you will find one of 25 clues, printed on a narrow strip of laminated paper, needed to solve the final King of Letterboxing. Please do not remove the clue from the cache. Please do not share the clue with your best caching buddy. Copy the text (case is very relative) into your puzzle solving notebook and save it for later. If the clue is missing from the cache, please let me know so that I can replace it. If you already found this cache prior to publication of the final letterbox, email me for the top secret code.
