The Man Who Was Thursday is a metaphysical spy novel by G. K. Chesterton. The plot concerns a police detective in England who discovers a secret society run by a council where each member is named for a different day of the week. It's fun read as you can never figure out who is the police informer and who is the secret agent. I'm told it's a favourite of those who have worked in intellegence services.
