Hawaii Five-0
1968 – 1980
Main Characters – Detective Steve McGarrett, Dan "Danno" Williams, Chin Ho, Duke and Che Fong
Five-O was a special state police unit answering only to the Governor of Hawaii. It worked with Honolulu police to fight the underworld in the island state. Sooner or later virtually all the badguys heard Steve McGarrett grunt "Book 'em, Danno!
Hawaii Five-O was named in honor of Hawaii's status as the 50th State. Although the show's name has always ended with the numeral "0," the soundtrack album, released in the late 1960s, used the letter "O" instead of the numeral zero. Today, an "O" is often used to differentiate the original series and the revival which premiered in 2010.
