Under the shadow of Mt. Sugarloaf and cradled in the Connecticut River lie two magical diamonds that sparkle in the summer sun from May through September. Meticulously groomed and cared for by a mystical man known simply as "Pres," this refuge provides recreation for the hundreds who flock here from various locations throughout New England in search of the elusive Fountain of Youth. Their weathered mitts dangling from the smooth-grained barrels of their wooden bats resting magestically on their shoulders, these pilgrims relive their youthful endeavors and create new memories with each toss of the ball, each crack of the bat, and every cry of "Swing batter batter," from the enthusiastic crowd. If you listen to the whispers from the past and look ever so closely, you just may find the hidden cache at Pres's Field of Dreams.
