According to the rangers here, the Woodland Walk is one of the least used walking tracks in Central Australia. This makes me VERY SAD because it takes you through some amazing country, and out to a hidden gorge which is a permanent waterhole. The Woodland Walk is 17 km return. It’s a very easy walk that takes you into some lesser-visited sections of the Park. The walk takes you out to Bond Gap, and you have the option of returning via Section 2 of the Larapinta Trail if you wish. It's a very easy day walk, and you'll need good shoes, water, munchies and a hat.
I've placed the cache not very far along the trail, less than 5 minutes walk from the parking area. Cache is a mini-decon container with room for small geocoin-sized swaps. Good luck, and I really hope this encourages you to do the entire walk - the rangers would be very happy to hear that someone is actually doing it!
