Head for Achnahaird beach. Access can be made from beach however river to be crossed and not possible if you want to keep your feet dry, best to use parking coordinates, they will get you on the correct side of the river. Approx. hour to the cache. Well done Ah! On FTF.
Once through the gate follow the sheep's path along the riverside down to the stone beach. Once off the stone beach path becomes more of a goat path than a sheep's!! Over the huge stile to cross the deer fence and you are on the correct path. Once around the first bay there is a steep part when you get to the far side of the bay and another steep part once around the headland. So be careful! However a beautiful walk on a good day. Good walking boots are essential. As you walk stop for a moment and take in the beauty of Achnahaird Beach. On arriving at the Geocache site the ruins of the fisherman's cottage alone is worth the trip, sitting of the large stone in front of the building makes you stop and think of how many the previous occupants did the same. Nets, fire place and old cooking pots are still in situ. Have a look in the nice wee bay, usually there are a few seals in residence and if you are really lucky check the skies above for the Buzzard. Since it would be a pity to walk there and not find the cache there is a spoiler alert on the hint. The cache is not hidden in the building or in the walls of the building. This is my first cache, lol so please be gentle........................ and remember your pen.
