Scenic Yachats #18 – Turn Here To Do Some Walking Traditional Cache

The Central Oregon Coast is home to Yachats, Gem of the Oregon Coast with great walking, hiking, biking, scenic, and historical sites. Filling in a passport with 20 passwords from 26 possible caches will earn you the Yachats Geocoin , a beautiful coin designed by ThunderingRocks.

This cache marks the old logging road which leads to three more caches. This is not a forest road so it is a bit more primitive and there are no turnouts. We made it up in a Toyota van but it is not a fast trip. The parking and turn around at the end of the road could be a challenge for some.

This road leads you up to Cape Ridge which is the main stem of the headland of Cape Perpetua.
