Geocache Description:

Along the trail, there was a cave...

Puʻu ʻŌʻō Trail, part of the state’s Nā Ala Hele trail system, visits several kīpuka, which are areas of old-growth forest spared between lava flows. This trail crosses many of these islands of life as it snakes through rough ʻaʻā lava from Mauna Loa, looming above. It has nothing to do with Puʻu ʻŌʻō in Hawai’i Volcanoes National Park, the current site of the Kīlauea eruption.

This cache is located about a mile from the trailhead on the way to kipuka number 2.
Your GPS will point you to the find. While waking through this area, try to imagine the Hawaii of old. Free from the hustle and bustle of the modern world. allow your self to be adsorbed by nature and all it's glory.

CITO when you can and please replace the cache exactly as you found it or better.PLEASE NO SPOILERS! Have fun and be safe...aloha
