This is a 2-stage multi. At the posted coordinates you will find a wooden pole with a small metal triangular shaped sign on it. This sign contains the information you will need to find the final.
There are 5 rows of characters;
Row 1 contains 2 letters.
Row 2 contains a 3 digit number followed by a letter. Call this number ROW2.
Row 3 contains a 1 digit number followed by a letter. Call this number ROW3.
Row 4 contains a 2 digit number followed by 2 letters. Call this number ROW4.
Row 5 contains only a letter.
To get the range in feet solve this equation:
ROW3*(ROW2+ROW4) - (ROW2+ROW3)
Or in words: Add the Numbers in Row2 and Row 4, Multiply this by the number in Row 3. From this number subtract the numbers in Row 2 and then Row 3
This should be a number greater than 500 ft.
To get the bearing in degrees (from true north) follow these steps:
Step 1. Multiply ROW3 by 20 (The number in row 3 times 20)
Step 2. Convert the letter in Row 5 to a number using simple substitution (a=1, b=2, c=3, ...)
Step 3. Add this new number to the result of step 1
The final is a short walk away.
The cache is pretty high and may require a tool to retrieve (there should be plenty on the ground or you may already have one in hand) .
