The Island Sit is an island between Pašman and Dugi otok. Just a few houses are there, and just for turists purposes. Owners sometimes fish, but in Autumn they pick the olive. In the history there was lot of shepherd, and therefore there are still huge fences. Ancient Roman ships where destroyed in bad weather and storms, so there are still a lot of pieces of them, especially pieces of an old amphoras in the sea. Romans put the wine, oil and sometimes coins into the amphoras to transport and store them all over the Empire.

In the prehistorical Pangea times, millions years ago, in the place where this island is now, was a not so deep warm sea. We can still find fossils in the stone, lying on the coast.

So, you can go there only by boat. You will probably see a small shapel on the north cape with the Saint Stefan in it.

After this, you will find a nice cottage, and maybe a fishing boat of the owner.

You have to ask the owner or some of the turist in the cottage for the permission to moor your boat. Mybe the owner of the cottage is just fishing or picking olives or figs, or they are just somewhere in the sea. Depends what time you are going to find the cache.

After you moor the boat, you probably are going to swin or dive to fresh yourself. I recommend you this because you will have to walk in the hill for about 1 minutes, and could be very hot this time. You will see lots of shell, for finding a wreck you have to move to the bridge connecting island Pašman and Ugljan. Finding wreck, if it is still there, needs some more time after you find the cache.

Now, you can go on food (please use more robust shoes) from the pier. You will see a trough, where they put olives for transporting to the island Murter. Maybe there will be some olive trees and fig tree. Depedns of what time you are there. Sometimes fire destroys trees and grass.

Then you will find a path and a signpost in the stone with red circle and white focus and after approximately 15 minutes, you are going to see a stone pyramide. You can walk to the top of the hill of the island with following red signpost. Don't forget to use good shoes. You can see a beautiful sunset in the evening at the top as well.

Somewhere there, in the midle of the stone is a hidden cache. It contains 8 golden coins, 1 compass, 1 real shell, 1 artificial shell, 1 pencil, 1 sharpener, 1 golden egg, 1 travel bug (rabbit).

This is the way how you can go there and find a cache if you have a boat. If you don't have a boat, you still can contact with the address motosport_murter@yahoo.com and arrange for the 1 day trip, starting on island Murter with renting a boat or having excursion with the boat of the owner of the cottage. It could be very exciting adventure.
