The Lazy TUS-LAX Portal Cache is located next to the hotel I stay at during my monthly visits to Tucson. I went to junior high and high school here in Tucson, and my parents and sister still live here. I am now living a short flight away in Los Angeles and visit about the middle of every month since my father, rltucson, had a heart attack and bypass surgery in 2012. I usually bring a handful of travel bugs and geocoins with me but always manage to forget to drop them here in town. But that won't be a problem any more thanks to this cache!
Inside of the large military file box there are two 76-ounce containers, one for travelers that I have brought with me (labeled AZ INBOUND) and the other for travelers you want to move along (labeled OUTBOUND). Anyone at any time can move any, as many, or all of the travelers in the cache! After all, they are TRAVEL bugs and this cache is not a prison with artificial rules governing who can take what. The only reason there are two containers inside is to make it easy for lazy me to differentiate between which ones I've brought on a previous trip and which ones I can take with me back to California. If you are dropping any travelers in the cache, please put them in the outbound box. If you are retrieving any travelers from the cache, you can take them from either the inbound or outbound box. I will pick up any travelers that are in the outbound box, if there are any in it at all, during my mid-month visits. I will not be broken hearted if there are no bugs to move.
Locating the cache will not be difficult, you can park directly next to it, but retrieving it and opening it may prove a challenge. You will need to read the hint to be able to open the lock.
Happy caching!
