About the place
The mill of Lyø was built in 1876 on the Dutch prototype. It was erected on one of the highest points of the island and it is a characteristic landmark which is visible also from the seaside. The road along the mill provides a beautiful view over the northern coast of Lyø, its bay with the small harbour, and the southern coastline of Fyn in the background. The mill is no longer used for its original purpose, but the building is still in use.
Dedication
The cache is dedicated to the 2013 summer sailing trip with the SV Pippilotta. On our last day we landed on the island and decided to place a cache here.
Important remark
The mill site is private property. The cache is not hidden there.
