Geocache Description:

IT is every crown green bowler's dream to play in one of the major finals at the "Wembley" of Crown Green Bowls.

Bowling GreenThe most prestigious event in the game, the Waterloo Handicap, has stood supreme as the leading competition of its type since 1907 when 320 players entered.

This is the Mecca of Crown Green Bowls and "Waterloo Week" each September becomes a heaving mass of soccer style supporters. The setting is superb, a majestic green without a pronounced crown, but with one or two humps that means it takes time to know your way around the place.

Are you old enough to remember watching Crown Green Bowls from here on ITV many moons ago with Dickie Davies and Frank Bough.

You are looking for a film container. If you fancy a quick shandy you can take your dog inside as well as long as it's on a lead.
