Hotel is for Helicopter Mystery Cache

This cache has been archived.

halllilley: I decided to let go the twenty-six Military series caches, and as I could not find anyone who wanted to adopt them, I am archiving them. Thanks to all who figured out the puzzle for this one and logged the find. The container has been removed.

Geocache Description:

The cache is NOT at the posted coordinates!

A military helicopter is a helicopter that is either specifically built or converted for use by military forces. A military helicopter's mission is a function of its design or conversion. The most common use of military helicopters is transport of troops, but transport helicopters can be modified or converted to perform other missions such as combat search and rescue (CSAR), medical evacuation (MEDEVAC), airborne command post, or even armed with weapons for attacking ground targets. Specialized military helicopters are intended to conduct specific missions. Examples of specialized military helicopters are attack helicopters, observation helicopters and anti-submarine warfare helicopters.

This is the eight cache in this series and it is dedicated to the men and women in the armed forces...and especially to those young men and women who have aspirations to join the active services once they enter their adult years.

You will need to answer the following questions about the CH-46E helicopter to reveal the rest of the coordinates:

A - Max takeoff weight of the CH-46E (kg) divided by 1000

B - Rotor diameter (feet) of the CH-46E

C - Number of Tail-Gunners on the CH-46E

D - Number of Crew Chiefs on the CH-46E

E - Max Speed (MPH) of the CH-46E times two...then add 26

Please obey posted park hours (5am - 11pm). The intention is for all cachers to find this cache while parking in the park. There may be closer avenues to approach the cache, but in the interest of earning the difficulty rating, please utilize parking within the park. As always, bring a pen.

Congrats to da_ewoks, Mr_Ewok, and Monty12 for co-FTF honors!

Added 3/14/2016: BTCO was the owner of this military series of 26 caches either through the initial publication or through adoption. When he moved to Iowa he did not think he would be able to continue to properly maintain the series. As I had served 27 years in the Air Force he thought I would be a logical choice to assume the ownership of the series. I agreed with his assessment and I adopted the series from him.
