Muckross Bay Traditional Cache

The cache is hidden at Muckross Bay and is a tab-locked box cache. The cache contains swaps with all the usuals such as a pen, pencil and logbook. It is hidden far enough from the lough to not be swept away by floods but still near the lough! The cache is hidden just off the path and is wheelchair friendly.

Muckross bay is located on the north east shore of Lower lough Erne. The cache is hidden along a path only a short walk from the car park. There are lots of jetties located along the path and plenty of places to launch a kayak for paddling in lough Erne which I would highly recommend. Please remember to wear life jackets as the lough can be deep! There is a small cordoned off section of water specificaly for bathers free from jet skiis and other water traffic. This is a great place to bring kids for a day out as there is a small sandy beach on which sandcastles can be built! The bay is located near two cavaran/camping sites and not very far from the beautiful village of Kesh.  Please enjoy this cache and any photos uploaded would be much appreciated.  Finally, have fun :)
