"Jack" was a fine old gentleman who worked on our Engineering crew. He always insisted on stopping here to fill up his water bottle. I have put the cache adjacent the turnout for safety reasons, although Jack would fill his water bottle across from the 23 Km. sign. This small creek seems to flow pretty much year round. It turned out later, that Jack may have changed his birthdate on his original job application to allow him to work past 65!
The Keogh Mainline is an active logging road and all users are asked to drive SAFELY. Please drive with your headlights and taillights on, observe all traffic signs, keep to your side of the road, and be sure that you can stop in less than half the distance you can see.
