Geocache Description:

[ENG] Park at Sylling Church. Follow the dirt road north, between the church and vicarage, in the hiking area north of the vicarage.

Kilden:

[ENG] A few meters north of the Cache location, you will find one information sign regarding St.Olavs spring. The spring delivers clear, clean water, even in dry summers. The priests at the vicarage obtained their drinking water from this source in the old days.

The story says that the chaplain in Sylling church from 1880-1911, demanded that his coffee would be made with water from this "golden spring".

The path you have followed down here, the old royal road towards Hirthe bridge. King Magnus followed this road when he fought against King Sverre and Birkebeiners at Hirth bridge. More information is to be found at one poster at N 59 ° 54.015 E 010 ° 17,035, which you pass on the way to the cache.
