Geocache Description:

You will get wet logging this event - be prepared.

******* Obviously this is on rain or shine, lightning in the area would be an issue, check this page after 2PM on event day for any update.

Just a note for any would be photographers out there ... Your presence on the water is an implicit agreement between you and the organizer of this event that any harm coming to you or your personal items is strictly at your own risk. You agree that you will not hold the event organizer nor the participants in the event for any damages caused to personal items such as electronics and cameras caused by water damage, flying paddles, unintended or intended kayak roll overs, acts of God, or other unspecified mishaps. Should you decide to bring personal items onto a water craft during this event, you do so at your own risk.

This event is easy to do but you will need special equipment to log as attended.

The concept is simple - this is a "Sponge War" event, 2nd annual.

Bring your boat (or borrow one from a friend). Nothing with a motor will be allowed.
Bring your sponges, the large car wash type would be best.
Bring your water gun and buckets, anything to help make sure no one leaves dry.

No balls - even a wet tennis ball hurts.
No water balloons -we don't want litter.

The log will only be available during a short window, 7:00 PM until 8:00 PM.

The log will be placed at or near the posted coordinates, to log the event you must go out on to the water and find someone with a duck and ask them for one, when you are given a duck you will write your name on it and make your way to the logging container and drop your duck in.

ONE duck per person and ONE name per duck.

Now the fun part - while you are doing your "logging" it is open season on you. You will be soaked with wet sponges and water guns. After you have logged you are welcome to join the gauntlet.

Anyone on the water is in play and is an acceptable target. Friendly fire is expected and encouraged between "loggers".

Logging will be monitored and any false logs will be deleted.
