Geocache Description:

The third in our series.  Another historical site in Edwards County.

This cache is located in Little Prairie Cemetery.  When the English first settled Edwards County, there were many small communities.  A lot of them were called "prairie", such as Barney Prairie or English Prairie.   This area was known as Little Prairie.  A group known as the Christian Connection first started meeting for religious services at Little Prairie in 1823.  Little Prairie Christian Church was located across the road from this cemetery.  The original building is long gone and the church is now just down the road from the cemetery.  The cache is a large screwtop container that can hold many trade items.  Not far off the trail at all, but could be ticks and poison ivy.  Happy Hunting.
