Geocache Description:

You will need to bring a pen. Pencil will not work for the log. Sign the log like a ballplayer. There is no space for trackables.

In honor of tonight's Major League Baseball's All-Star Game in nearby NYC, we have a baseball-themed cache.

Charlie Brown's all-stars were out to play against Peppermint Patty's all-stars.

Batting leadoff was Franklin who hit a liner right at Linus who snagged the ball with his blanket, being able to do this without even remving his thumb from his mouth.  He tossed the ball back to Charlie Brown.  Woodstock, from the dugout, chirped that this was the first time all season that they had been able to record an out on the leadoff hitter.  Thibault, batting second, had a broken-bat slow grounder to Linus that he was able to leg-out for a single.  Marcie came up next.  She hit a grounder to Linus who flipped the ball to Snoopy for the force at second.  Peppermint Patty, batting cleanup, popped out to Linus.

Charlie Brown's team was sent down 1-2-3 in the bottom of the first.

First up in the top of the second was Jose Peterson.  He hit a long fly ball to that landed right in front of Violet who was not paying attention.  She finally acted when everyone yelled at her.  Peterson had a stand-up double.  The next batter laid down a bunt.  Shermy charged the ball and threw the ball to Pig Pen who tagged Peterson out trying to advance.  Schroeder crashed into the dugout catching a pop foul.  Woodstock checked him out to ensure that he could continue.  The next batter scorched a comeback liner that made Charlie Brown flip over losing his shirt, shoes, and socks.  A long fly ball came next that landed right on Patty's head for the final out of the inning.

Before Charlie Brown's team could come up to bat in the bottom of the second, it started to rain.  The game had to be called on account of rain.
