Geocache Description:

This is a fairly easy cache to find, within about 250 yards of a fairly well-maintained dirt road to Green River Lakes Campground (and just outside the campground). It's a convenient cache to find if you are camping in the nearby campground or otherwise enjoying the nearby Green River Lake, Green River, or nearby hiking trails.

This cache was placed by a boy scout troop as part of working on their Geocaching merit badge.  The cache is placed in a beautiful area just outside the Green River campground.  From the cache location you have a beautiful view of the Green River, Squaretop mountain, and the old Osborne Homestead.  A forest ranger said the rumors are that Teddy Roosevelt used to hunt around here, and Europeans used to come to the homestead to play Polo, of all things.  I can't verify the authenticity of that, but it's a beautiful location regardless.  There's great fishing and hiking in the area.  We did place a scout patch in the cache (along with a log book and a few other various items), with the suggestion to please only take the patch if trading it for another scout patch, but you're welcome to trade any of the other swag.  The cache is an easy flat walk (some sagebrush and other growth) about 250 yards off the road (just an estimate). The cache is a white metal first aid box with an orange duct tape label that says "Geocache" - approximately shoe box size.
