tenebrus: I headed out here to see how this one was doing. The area has changed so much now that they are actively working on this park. Much of the undergrowth is gone. I had even thought that this container would have disappeared with that clearing, but I got lucky. All bad luck though, because the lid was off, the seal was broken, two flaps were cracked, there were several holes in the container, and there was no logbook. I am going to have to look at the plans for upgrading this park before replacing any container here. Alternatively, the area is open for other cache hiders. And just to save anyone the grief of trying this: NYAdmin has already disallowed any cache here at the welcome kiosk on Manning Boulevard because it is line of sight to a school and there is apparently an internal memorandum to reviewers about a particular bomb threat situation that did not go well for anyone involved.
