Geocache Description:

Quick P & G cache on a gravel road. Beware of farmer muggles nearby. Please BYOP.

The Schnauzer's were looking for a way to put out a short series of caches in this part of the county, and our "Great Lakes Tributes" will do just that. Nothing difficult about these caches, just plain and simple park and grabs. These may be a little touger to tackle during the winter months. You shouldn't have too much trouble with muggles, though there are some farmsteads nearby so you may want to be on the lookout for them if they're out in their fields.

Though Huron is the least talked about of the Great Lakes, it might be the best-kept secret. Lake Huron borders Ontario Canada, and Michigan and has relatively few "cities" on it's shores. The great Georgian Bay is included as part of Lake Huron, which is a pristine natural wildlife area in Canada. Huron is the 3rd largest in both surface area and volume. It spans all the way from Port Huron (north of Detroit) to the Mackinac Bridge, the link between Michigan's Upper and Lower Peninsulas. The famous Mackinac Islands sits to the east of this bridge. It is a popular vacation destination during the summer months and is unique in that there are no automobiles allowed on the island.
