Geocache Description:

Gerber Hill Park is located upon land donated by Frank and Elizabeth Gerber and their daughters Sarah and Frances.

Gerber Hill Park contains significant remnants of Lenawee County's geological past.  Nearly 15,000 years ago the area was covered with glaciers.  The rich soil in the area as well as the sandy ridges that are located in the Park were created by the glaciers.  The Park contains numerous native grasses and wildflowers.

The north part of the park contains the namesake, 'Gerber Hill', a sledding hill that was used by many local residents.  The land was donated to Lenawee County in 1988 and the park was dedicated in 1992.  As a child, I enjoyed fishing in this pond with the Gerber family. Enjoy this beautiful park.

Please stay on the mowed paths until just before seeking the cache.
