The former owner just recently archived this cache and I was too late to adopt it. So since it's very close to my Chicadee dee dee cache, I thought I would "reincarnate" it.
This cache you can see the log booms that come down and are tied on both sides of the Fraser River nearby. The booms have been present on the river since the 1930's. You can often see several booms being towed by a single tugboat. The area is also popular with fishermen. The structure is a water outlet for runoff from the nearby ditches and the cranberry fields across the street which need to be flooded for harvesting. There is good parking right beside.
