In December of 1979, the donation of land by the Maurins totalled approximately 18.12 acres. The donation included a house, which was the living quarters, boat house, storage shed, Fritz’s shack, which was a squatter’s cabin, and bird cemetery. Other features included the entrance drive on the former railroad track spur, small kettle lake, and two small ponds. The land was dedicated to the public in June of 1980. In December of 1980, the donation of land by Verna R. Ciriacks - Mrs. Peter Ciriacks, totalled 1.88 acres. The donation included a pond, open area, and a parking lot (used until 1986). In November of 1984, the acquisition of 38.01 acres from Esther Luff - Mrs. Albert Luff, cost $40,500. The acquisition included the former railroad track cinder bed, pine plantation, and steep slopes, which were heavily wooded with a closed canopy. In June of 1986, the acquisition of 39.55 acres from the Otten Estate cost $34,600. A cost sharing LAWCON grant was received as part of the acquisition, which included a pond, wetland, esker, open field, and steep slopes, which were heavily wooded with a closed canopy. In December of 1986, the acquisition of 4.5 acres from the Wisconsin Electric Power Company cost $30,000. This acquisition included the balance of what was left of the former Schmidt Farmstead, and included the brick farmhouse, machine shed, barn, garage, three outlet buildings, apple orchard, and small wood slopes, which were previously heavily grazed by cattle. In July of 2006, the acquisition of 32 acres from Hearltand Development Group cost $479,000.  The acquisition includes the 8 acre Rainbow Lake (Allis Lake), surrounding deciduous wetlands, and other primary environmental corridor lands.  The purchase price was determined by the condominium development to the west; it was a swap of park impact fees for the land.
