Between the twisty-winding beauty of Lombard Street, and the spectacular view of the Filbert hillcrest between Hyde and Leavenworth, this block of Greenwich is often overlooked, and this terrific little park — Michaelangelo Playground, also home to a neighborhood gardening program — is frequently, sadly, empty. Please come and enjoy this local park, with respect, and have fun looking for this small cache.
At the time of this writing, the cache itself is a waterproofed envelope, tucked neatly just out of sight. However, though Michaelangelo was known for his artwork, you won't see any obvious works of art around. However, if you look carefully, you can find an enormous portrait, a girl's face, as high as a person is tall. Ask yourself where someone could secretly paint something that large, and in answering the question you will find where the cache has been hidden.
This cache was first placed by a five-year-old boy who was so excited to find so many geocaches within just a few hundred feet from where he's growing up, but none in his favorite park. If you can't find it, or there's some other problem, let us know. It shouldn't take long for us to check. Thanks.
