Welcome to the 31 Days of Caching Challenge! In August 2013, Groundspeak introduced the 31 Days of Geocaching, a challenge (complete with unique souvenirs for each day) designed to encourage consecutive days of caching. No doubt, a few cachers – including some in the Athens, Ohio area – figured this would not be attainable. “There are not that many available caches in my area for me to complete the entire month.” Well, how about a challenge designed to force you to do exactly what you need to do to start (or continue) a nice streak?
Days 1 and 31 are covered by events in Athens. If you miss(ed) them, then you miss(ed) easy smileys (and fun).
The cache is a mystery/puzzle cache. To claim a find, you must qualify. No exceptions! The requirement for this cache is: you must have found at least one cache (any type, any time) for five consecutive days. You may count the find on this cache as the fifth consecutive day. The cache owner will check your statistics to verify that you are qualified. If you do not qualify, your find log will be deleted.
The cache is located along a rural county road. Do not attempt to access this cache from US-32/50 (for your own safety). While traffic on the road should be minimal, please be respectful with regard to the local residents and use stealth so that the cache will remain available to other cachers.
YOU DO NOT HAVE TO LOG THIS CACHE IN AUGUST 2013. ANY FIND DATE WITH A QUALIFYING STREAK IS ACCEPTABLE.
