The wonders of modern day science never cease to amaze me. I found a website that could do genetic analysis of your pet dogs and they would be able to if it was a purebreed or not and if not, which other breeds were mixed in.
The first dog I had tested came back as:
30% Collie
18% Himalayan Sheepdog
15% Estonian Hound
12% Icelandic Sheepdog
10% English Foxhound
9% Hawaiian Poi Dog
6% Giant Schnauzer
The second dog I had tested came back as:
42% Irish Setter
26% Finnish Spitz
15% Affenpinscher
8% Finnish Hound
5% Irish Wolfhound
3% Formosan Mountain Dog
1% English Setter
I wasn't too surprised by the results. Neither of them seemed like purebreds, but I wasn't expecting results like that. Scariest thing is what the new puppies are going to turn out like.
