The Cooper Lime Kilns were part of a thriving family business in the start and middle of the 1900's. Western Australian notable Albert Facey author of A Fortunate Life once worked here. This is the lower, and in my opinion, the more popular kiln as it is accessible from the park and so see more passing traffic then the higher eastern kiln which is accessed off the corner of Fairport and Baton Rouge Drives.
