Lake McKail is a Wildlife and Wetland Protection Reserve so please respect the area!
This area is home to the local duck population who can be observed while standing on the deck overlooking the lake. This is a beautiful spot to spend a few hours with the family. Maybe lunch in the gazebo, then off to the playground so the kids can burn off some energy while the adults relax either on the grass or on one of the seats. There is also a nice walk/bike path around the lake that is suitable for the little ones to ride around!
The cache you are looking for is a camo painted mint tin :) It is only big enough for the log and a small pencil. Please replace it exactly where you found it and be careful as this area can be a high muggle spot at times!
