Lavasa - Hill City 2 Traditional Cache

Set on a picturesque route through Lavasa, India's first planned hill city, the journey towards this cache...is the ultimate reward. During monsoon season, the area is dotted with gushing waterfalls, lush green foliage carpteing the hills with constant clouds covering the road making the find a bit more challenging. Even during the winter and other seasons, this is one extremely enjoyable location!

Back in early 2010, my brother (handle: nevseq) and I placed our first cache "Hill City" on the road to Lavasa right at a location with an awe inspiring view. Over the last few years, we noticed a number of geocachers located this cache and shared how much they enjoyed the journey and discovering this place some were unaware of just 2 hours from Pune City. Unfortunately last we heard from someone, the cache may have been muggled or damaged permanantly. So I recently made a trip to Lavasa and replaced a brand new cache at a new location not too far from the original "Hill City" which we will now re-christen "Lavasa- Hill City 2"! 

Once you find your way through the main gateway into Lavasa right at the top of the hill, you're a short way from making your way to this cache. Placed in a beautiful location just off the curvy road that runs down the hilll to the town center, this is a fun one!
