St Michael's, Aldbourne stands on the site of a church that was well established in 966. By the mid-12th century a stone church had been built and the present south doorway dates from that period. In 1460 the 99 feet high west tower was built. The church was restored in 1867 with a new steeper roof added over the 15th century one.
Parking is on The Green in front of the church.
The published coordinates take you to the grave of James-Albert Cook. James was only 2 years old when he died, but on what date? Call it AB March 18CD.
