Geocache Description:

We love hockey, we love caching, what could be better than a hockey themed power trail great for hikers or mountain bikers! Coordinates will be jumpy due to the tree cover in the area. The best GPSr accuracy when hiding on a clear sunny day was 8m so USE the hints; they are fairly specific. This part of the series takes you right down to scenic Lacey Lake. BYOP

The New York Islanders, also part of the Metropolitan Division was founded in 1972.  Between 1980 and 1983, they had 4 consecutive Stanley Cup wins, and had the honor of winning 19 consecutive playoff series during that timeframe.  Since those glory days, the team has been plagued by money problems, poor management, an aging arena and low attendance.  Despite that, they have still earned 6 Conference Championships and 6 Division Championships.
