Geocache Description:

* Cache is not at the posted coordinates *

All the containers in this series are similar as well as the hides. Neither the puzzles nor the hides should be too difficult although some will be more challenging than others. Those that want a real challenge can attempt to find at least 50 puzzles on the same day and can qualify for the Very Puzzling Day Challenge, GC4GTY0.

The town of Hessdale, Kansas is no longer anything one would call a town. At this point it probably qualifies as a ghost town. In it's heydey, however, it was quite bustling thanks to the Santa Fe Railroad. Even before the town was called Hessdale, it was doing quite well. To get the final coordinates for this cache you need to find out a little about the days before Hessdale became known as Hessdale. The final coodinates for this cache are North 38 54.ABC, West 96 12.DEF.

The town of Hessdale was known as Bismarck until the year 18JK at which point it was called Halifax until the year 19LM.

Now some simple math with your answers will give you the coordinates:

A = M-K
B = L
C = L * 2
D = K
E = J - 6
F = J + 1

I don't believe these answers can be found on the internet, but I do know that if you go to North 38 54.760 West 96 12.565 you will find the answers there.

Since Wabaunsee County is really bad for getting any kind of cell phone signal you probably can't use this checker link in the field. But in case you find the answers somewhere else you can check your answers for this puzzle on GeoChecker.com.
