Shamrock Traditional Geocache

This cache has been archived.

Cookie & Bruiser: After 54 favorite points and over 1,000 finds, we sadly decided to retire this popular cache. This was one of our favorite caches (despite the many replacements and lid problems), and we had hoped to keep it going until the new construction began at Seaport Village. However, we did not want to have an attraction where perhaps some over zealous geocachers (or muggles) might be damaging the existing site even though there was no reason to. The cache was always just sitting there, in plain sight - no need to move, pry, or pull away anything to get to it. Sadly, we are now archiving our Shamrock cache.

Geocache Description:

If ye have a bit o' the Irish luck with ye, ye might be findin' a shamrock in beautiful Seaport Village! 'Tis near part o' the lovely pond with it's bridges an' ducks (an' sometimes wee ducklings). Please don't feed the ducks (no matter how cute they be) or walk into the pond greenery. Please stay on the walkway, use stealth mode as there be many muggles about, and replace the cache in the same spot ye found it to avoid confusion for the next cachers. Ye'll find a bit o' "green" in the cache if ye be the FTF!

About the parking - There is a small amount of metered parking available near the entrance. The meters are for every day (including Sundays) but do no start until 10 AM. So if you're just caching, early is the time to come. If you visit later and park in Seaport Village, be sure to read the fine print about the fees or you could be in for an expensive shock. It costs $8/hour (or any part thereof) unless your ticket is validated by a purchase of at least $10. So if you came in for 1 & 1/2 hours without a $10 validation, it would be $16, etc. I think it's $2-3/hour (or any part thereof) with validation.
