This cache is a black Lock&Lock hidden behind a rock in a tiny cave. The posted coordinates were taken on the trail. The cave is off the highway side of the trail, about 3m from the prominent boulder at the side of the rail bed.
The Galena Trail is a segment of the old CPR bed stretching from Three Forks to New Denver. However, the trail extends north toward Nakusp on the old Naskusp & Slocan Railway bed. This section of the trail follows Slocan lake, with beautiful views and small driftwood beaches. It's perfect for walking and cycling, but motorized vehicles are allowed on the trail as well.
When LXGDS and I went camping at Wragge Beach this summer, we were prepared and took some time to lure you cachers to this excellent section of abandoned rail bed with a slough of caches.
As with so many of mine, these caches are "log only" and of course... BYOP!
