This cache is placed near one of our favourite stops en route to our annually rented cottage on Bobs Lake. It’s really more of a pause than a stop.
A pause to shuck the cares of urban life.
A pause to soak in the sublime and tranquil beauty of “our” cottage lake.
A pause to listen for the distant train whistles – LONG – LONG – SHORT – LONG as the mainline trains pass each crossing across the lake.
A pause to hear the loon whistles on either side of us (one studied me intently as I placed the cache).
A pause to safely cross the unguarded narrow causeway built decades ago to make the cottages at the end of Island Drive Lane reachable by land.
You should maybe consider this a pause ‘n grab hunt as there is no off-road parking at this spot. [NOTE: if you really would like to park and poke, the spot to do so is N44 42.647 W76 34.857]
Use the cache to let us know you’ve reached our shangrila – we’ll be listening.
