På andra sidan gångbron och snett åt höger låg tidigare Gunnarns gamla kraftstation. Byggnaden revs och området återställdes i början av 2000-talet. Återställningen var så pass grundlig att det finns få lämningar kvar. Kraftverket var färdigbyggt 1923 och levererade 10000 Volt som utspänning. Denna spänning transformerades sedan ner till bruksspänning till hushållen ute i byarna, där elen framförallt användes till belysning. Initialt levererades endast ström till Gunnarn, men så småningom byggdes elnätet ut och elström levererades då också till byarna Barsele, Åskilje, Grundfors och Juktån.
Cirka trehundra meter längre uppströms från bäcken ligger en damm vid utloppet från Lill-Bastuträsket. Från dammen hade det byggts en vattentub i trä, med diametern ~1 meter och sammanhållen med buntringar i järn. Tuben gick sedan ner till kraftverket i närheten av denna plats. Dammen hade till uppgift att höja vattenståndet upp till en nivå som gjorde att tuben vattenfylldes och transporterade vattnet ner till kraftverkets generator och därefter ut i Stor-Bastuträsket.
Området är även känt som "Kvarnmårkan", vilket antyder att det tidigare kan ha legat en kvarn på platsen. Ordet "mårka" betyder "land mellan två vatten eller längs med en fors där man går till fots och eventuellt även drar eller bär båten".
Notera; Att köra längs skogsstigen sista biten mot cachen med en husbil/husvagn eller en bil med lägre markfrigång än en "normal" personbil är inte att rekommendera. Det är också tveksamt om vägen upp till parkeringen är plogad vintertid.

On the other side of the footbridge and diagonally to the right was previously the site of Gunnarns old powerhouse. The building was demolished and the area restored in the early 2000s. Recovery was so thorough that few remnants remain. The power station was completed in 1923 and delivered 10,000 volts as output voltage. This voltage was then transformed down to operating voltage to the households in the villages, where the electricity was mainly used for lighting. Initially the power station supplied power only to Gunnarn, but eventually the net was extended and electricity was also delivered to the villages Barsele, Åskilje, Grundfors and Juktån.
Approximately three hundred yards further upstream of the creek is a dam at the outlet of lake Lill-Bastuträsket. From the dam had been built a tube in wood, with a diameter of ~1 meter and held together with stack rings of iron. The tube then went down to the power plant in the vicinity of this place. The dam was to raise the water level up so the tube was filled and then carrying the water down to the plant's generator and further on into the lake Stor-Bastuträsket.
This area is also known as "Kvarnmårkan", roughly translated as "The mill portage", suggesting that it may previously have been a mill in the vicinity. The word "mårka" (portage) means "land between two waters or along a stream where you are walking and possibly even pull or carry the boat".
Note; Driving the narrow forest trail the last way to the cache is not recommended if you drive a camper/caravan or a car with lower ground clearance than normal. It is also doubtful that the road up to the parking lot is plowed during winter.
