Geocache Description:

The New River Canal goes from the intracoastal to the west coast of Florida.  The canal is now blocked from continuous passage to the west by a flood gate near the old Sewell Lock.  Fishing is good along the canal, mostly for snook and tarpon. 

Cache is a very short distance for the launch ramp. Not sure what this structure was used for in a previous life?  

Accessible only via water, you can park & launch nearby in the Riverland Woods Park.
