Geocache Description:

Near the USFS Ranger Station.  Small camo'ed jar.  Half a Euro for FTF (congrats to w01f). As always around here, beware of rattlers, and look before you reach.

The mythical Chumash Princess Chuchupate is said to have been a medicine woman to her people. The spring of water above the Chuchupate Ranger Station carried her name long before the station was built in 1930.

The present Chuchupate Ranger Station was built to the west of Lake of the Woods and just across the road from the Cuddy Ranch about 1930.

This cache is the first going upslope on Frazier Mountain Road, and in the winter, the last one accessible by motor vehicle.  We've been thinking of putting one here for a while.
