Geocache Description:

Bonnet Bay Bash – series

I have placed a series of 10 caches around the shores of Bonnet Bay and Woronora which can be visited by canoe or, with the exception of one or two, by foot. Either way, the paddle or stroll is designed to take you to an area that I love and to provide a great way to get some exercise and enjoy nature for a few hours. No puzzles or pesky nano/micros here. Just straight-forward finds and paddling/waddling pleasure. Enjoy!

This cache is not too far from the Bushfire Brigade’s flash new floating boat shed. It’s been a while since we had a bad fire in the valley (touch wood!). Good to see the volunteers who give up their time to train and protect our property have some decent facilities. A lot of the homes further upstream have no road access so the fire boats are critical. They also look good at Xmas, all decorated with Santa visiting up and down the river with lollies for the kids.

On weekends, the local canoe club has races from that point so it can be a little busy.

As for the cache, it’s not hidden on or around the Fire-ies’ boat sheds. Keep going past, into the bush and look for likely spots.

There is a nice little beach to pull up but it's get's a bit shallow on approach. Parking available nearby if you need it.
