This is the second cache in this series set around Ladwood and Acrise. The circular walk is approximately 2 miles over undulating terrain. Please wear appropriate footwear and expect muddy slippery areas after rain.
I had hoped that Trails of the unexpected would cause a few headaches for those who like a challenge, but I had failed to understand just how canny most of you are! Perhaps this series might be a challenge to some of you.
The actual stile and path position differ from the map location shown on this page, but it should be obvious when you get there. Cross the stile and head straight across the field towards the woods. You should be able to see the footpath marker ahead where it enters. Please take extreme care on the next section of this path, it is steep and very slippery when wet.
Once again, the leafy trees make fixing a co-ordinate difficult around GZ. You may need the clues. You do not need to leave the track. Please take care to re-hide this one carefully. Good luck.
