Geocache Description:

Coole Holy Well is not your usual pre-Christain meeting place, becoming a place of worship when a lady from the nearby Coole Abbey House observed a monk praying at the well.

Coole Abbey House dates fro 1765, and is a magnificant country house build in the Baroque Palladian style. You get a great view of the house from the cache site.

The well is attributed to St Dalbach, and weary cachers may seek to heal their sore eyes by praying at each of the 7 kneeling stones. Thereafter, take a stroll by the riverside, and relax in the shade of the old oak tree as you contemplate where the cache may be.
