Jerra Troll
The latest in the Jerra series (even though this isn't technically Jerrabomberra).
I pass over this bridge on Lanyon Drive nearly every day to get to work, and it seemed like a good place for a cache.
The road is named after the famous Lanyon Homestead on the southern outskirts of Canberra. You can read more about the homestead here. It's a delightful place to visit.
You won't technically have to hop a fence to access GZ. You can hop over the crash barrier and avoid any barbed wire. From GZ you can see the Southcare Hospital Base with its firefighting training facility, and beyond that the Alexander Maconochie Centre.
The cache contains log book, pencil and a minifig keyring as a First-To-Find prize. There's plenty of room for swaps.
Important Safety Information
- This is a main road. Please be careful when stopping on it or crossing it.
- The underside of the bridge has some quite steep ramparts. Wear shoes with good grip and keep low to maintain your balance.
- This cache is not recommended for kids due to the nature of GZ (main road, steep concrete slopes, water in the creek at the bottom).
- Vertically-challenged cachers may also have an issue spotting or retrieving the cache.
