The 4.6-mile Clarksville Greenway follows an abandoned rail bed on the outskirts of Clarksville north of town. The greenway meanders along a creek through a route canopied with large trees. The greenway will help establish a buffer along the Red River and nearby streams, while providing a habitat for diverse plant and animal species.
Geocachers are encouraged to gather at the posted coordinates at 2:00pm. The event will last as long as geocachers remain in the area, but figure hanging out for about an hour or two. Granted, geocachers have been known to be long winded in their stories, no we won't be in a rush to leave the area.
Seating as limited as there is only one picnic table at ground zero. There is a 3-person swing nearby. So chairs are encouraged for those that want to hang out for the duration of the event.
Geopets are encouraged to attend as the Clarksville Greenway is pet friendly, provided they are on a leash.
Park at the Pollard Street Trailhead.
